We are very excited to launch our
Special Order Cake service to Calgary clients. Working with Calgary's finest
French-born and trained pastry chef, we can design and create special wedding
cakes ranging from a traditional French piece
montée to several tiers of finely
sculpted rose-laden rounds, to a chocoholic's dream birthday cake filled with
mousse, praline biscuit or genoise.
As with all we do, every cake
is as unique and special as your occasion warrants. With respect to less
elaborate birthday, anniversary or all-occasion cakes, an order by Tuesday will
mean that your cake will be available for pick-up or delivery (for a fee) by
Friday after 4pm.
Wedding cakes obviously require more
time. Call us at 403.271.9442 to book an appointment and we'll meet with you to
discuss your needs, theme and budget. You can flip through our book, tell us
what your preferences are and we'll do our utmost to give you the cake of your
dreams.
Our cakes fall into the budget of
$4.00 - $7.00 per person, and depend entirely on what ingredients are in it and
how elaborate the decorations are. For example, gold leaf and hand-created,
edible roses will add to overall costs. Having said that, we pride ourselves on
being able to offer unique, delicious cakes at a reasonable cost.

Vive la France. Try a traditional French wedding cake - the piece montee. A
towering cone of profiteroles filled with custard or cream are joined together
with an elaborate web of spun sugar, almonds and, if desired, other elements. An
impressive, delicious dessert as well as centrepiece.
An
ode to a chocolate connoisseur. Our pastry chef is an expert chocolatier (he
even makes his own chocolates to order), and this beautiful, decadent cake is
sensational to the eye and tastebuds. Perfect for a birthday, anniversary,
Christmas or
chocoholic night. We also make stunning Christmas Yule Logs (or Buches de Noel)
and Galettes.

Another chocolate offering combining several types of chocolate and edible gold
leaf. This one goes over tremendously well, and feeds many due to its rich
chocolate ingredients.

A balanced combination of light and dark, fruit, mousse and
chocolate. This cake is a fall favourite, with rich pear pieces blended in with
a velvety mousse. An edible chocolate ribbon, hand-tied, adorns the top.
